Her greatest achievement while giving back to Southern University as an alumna was serving as the two-term President of the Southern University Alumni Federation Home Chapter (2014-2018).
During her presidency, the chapter became the “fastest growing chapter in the Jaguar Nation.” The chapter not only flourished in membership, but also in sold out events, which led to the following chapter accomplishments, (but not limited to):
- Awarded thousands of dollars in scholarships to graduating high school seniors, undergraduate and graduate students attending Southern University;
- Gifted the Human Jukebox with over five thousand dollars in scholarships;
- Provided the entire Football team with custom blazers and neckties to enhance their professional appearance; and
- Became the first alumni chapter inducted as a founding member of the 1880 Society, which provides funding for student scholarships, faculty grants and strategic University initiatives.
